Plot Synopsis

Hellboy is dispatched to Guatemala in 1979 by Trevor Bruttenholm to recover the Xul Chalak. In order to do so Hellboy has to wrestle if from the grips of a madman and a giant frog creature. Upon touching the Xul Chalak Hellboy sees a series of startling visions that disturb him. Deciding that the Xul Chalak is too powerful and likely to be abused he decides to break it before returning to B.P.R.D. headquarters and handing over the pieces of the Xul Chalak to a disapointed Bruttenholm.
